It’s never too late to incorporate some fun St. Patrick’s Day books in your home or classroom. I’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites to share with you guys.
Ten Lucky Leprechauns: This one is a great counting and rhyming book especially for young readers.
St. Patrick’s Day: Gail Gibbons is always a GREAT choice for factual stories about the topic. I have about 15 of her books in my classroom and now they’re overflowing at our home library as well. This book is a great retelling of the life of St. Patrick as well as the legends and how we celebrate today.
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover: This is one of those silly and fun repetitive stories. She’s back at it swallowing items to make the perfect rainbow.
How to Catch a Leprechaun: A great book to inspire a little family tradition. A fun idea to catch a leprechaun with a cute rhyme to memorize easily.
The Night Before St. Patrick’s Day: A fun twist on the classic Christmas story your kids will surely love.
The Leprechaun Who Lost His Rainbow: A cute story about saving the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with the help of a leprechaun named Roy G. Biv.
That’s What Leprechauns Do: A cute story about the mischievous actions of those little leprechauns.
Emeraldalicious: Who doesn’t love a little Pinkalicious twist- for all the girly girls!
How to Trap a Leprechaun: I LOVE this one! The story talks explains how legend has it that if you catch a leprechaun he’ll grant you a wish. But be careful! Leprechauns are full of trickery, to catch one you’ll need to be clever.
I hope you find one (or 7) books your kiddos will love. And don’t forget if you order now through Amazon Prime you’ll get it in a day or two. We love incorporating seasonal stories in our bedtime routines and these are just a few of our current favorites.
On a completely different note, I wanted to share one of my favorite shops for seasonal/holiday kids clothes Sweet Sprouts. I love getting a personalized shirt any chance we get. Christy from Sweet Sprouts has been sweet enough to offer a coupon code MANDI15 for 15% off your order. So grab one now- or better yet, get one of those adorable Easter shirts for your littles. 💜
