I guess I was in the mood for mystery this month because I read FOUR psych/thrillers!
If this isn’t your jam and you’d rather hear about a romance or contemporary then you need to check out my book review page. It has all the books I’ve read and reviewed in all genres.
If you’re still here, then let’s get started!
Want to Know A Secret? Freida McFadden
I came across this one because it was free on Kindle Unlimited. I really enjoyed this one! It's about a woman, named April Masterson who is an average housewife with a successful YouTube baking show. She starts every episode with a little secret about how to make that recipe better, but if you continue to learn about Aril off-camera, you'll learn she's holding some other secrets that are... well, you'll have to read to find out.
This mystery/thriller started off a little slow, but still kept my interest. About 40% in I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. I had to find it on audio just to finish it!
It has some unlikeable characters and sort of unlikely twist but nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.

Now THIS is how a mystery/thriller is done! Wow, Torre did an excellent job at creating a well-established
There is a serial killer in town, he takes teenage boys, keeps them for weeks and then kills them. Until one of the boys escapes and lives to tell about it. One of the victim’s fathers decides to defend the “accused killer”. It makes you think he must know something….
This creeptastic thriller will keep you up at night reading every page. You might think you have it figured out…. but trust me, you don’t.
This had a good blend of a serial killer storyline, court case drama, and high suspense.

The Kind Worth Killing | Peter Swanson
This was fantastically written and probably one of my all-time favorite thrillers! Swanson knows how to write y'all!
This book is absolutely worth reading. A man and woman meet in an airport bar. At first, you think nothing of it, until the man jokes about killing his wife. The woman tells him she can make it happen. Wait, are they serious? This one has so many twists and turns you will be guessing until the very end. I love that none of the characters were very likeable and you never knew who to trust. This is one I highly recommend for every pysch/thriller lover

The Kind Worth Saving by Peter Swanson
I was so excited to learn that there was a second book that came out THIS MONTH!
This is one devious whodunit. It starts with a few characters from the first book and you will love the twisty turns that it takes you on. Who do you trust? Who do you believe? You’ll have to read to find out! I can’t give too much information with spoilers so I’ll just say this… if you read and enjoyed the first then you MUST read this one. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
