Sorry bloggy buds, I have been enjoying my summer and completely away from anything blogging! BUT… I’m back and ready to go. I wanted to link up over at 4th Grade Frolics after I saw a few of these fabulous ideas!!
I got some great inspiration over at Mrs. Terhune’s to make some numbered student bags to hold each student’s materials in. Here is the original pin…
Super adorable right?!! So I immediately went to Oriental Trading and purchased these cute little totes (the reviews were sketchy, but I am totally pleased with my order) and I got started.
Mrs. Terhune said she had her mom sew on these numbers… well I don’t sew (yet) and my mom lives way down in San Antonio soooooo I had to make do.
First I bought some of those cheap bandanas they have in solid black (that’s the color I wanted to use, I like for them to look clean and neat) then I bought some of this stuff from Hobby Lobby.
It is so easy to use. After I traced my numbers (using any die cut numbers you have handy) just cut out the stitch witchery to cover the back side of that number and hold an iron over it for about 10 seconds.
Well after the numbers were ironed on I wasn’t completely satisfied they needed a “finish” something to close up the fabric, so I bought some white fabric paint and outlined them.
I LOVE the way they turned out!! Here’s the final product drying in the guest room. 
I can’t wait to fill these with dry erase boards, erasers, clipboards and more so each of my students will have what they need all in one place!!

They are perfect! Your students are going to love using their bags. We used boxes that two students shared on the rug, but I may go back to the bags…hum.
