It’s here, it’s here! I have been looking forward to sharing my latest reads with you all! I have had a great start to my summer with these titles. There’s a little bit for everyone so I hope you stick around.
One True Loves – I loved this story so much! It was heartbreaking, emotional, intense and beautiful! There were moments I was happy, upset and torn with the decision that she had to make. All in all, definitely a great read…. put it on your list of beach/pool reads.
The Hate U Give– This is a very powerful book. It was inspired by the Black Lives Matter Movement, it takes you into the heart of Garden Heights after the main character has witnessed the wrongful murder of her best friend Khalil by a police officers. No matter your perspective, this book is informative, relative and relatable. It was such an empowering story for teenagers who are finding their voice and one that gives you all the feels.
The Best Yes– If you’re a busy mom or wife, this book is for you! If you find yourself having trouble balancing life and family you need to put down the laundry and your kid’s soccer schedule and READ THIS BOOK! It will alleviate so much pressure for worldly view of what’s important and put things in perspective.
“Never is a woman so fulfilled as when she chooses to underwhelm her schedule so she can let God overwhelm her soul.”
Love Story– I’m new to the Baxter Family Series but I loved this one! Kingsbury is a Christian author and it was refreshing to hear prayers and God in everything that happened. A little about heritage and a sweet family is the main back story and if you’re looking to start a new series I highly recommend this one!
Before I Fall– This one takes you back to high school. You’re reminded of mean girls and ignoring your mom and just being a pain in the butt- teenager. It puts a whole new outlook on living each day to the fullest. I loved the story, if you like teen- drama you’ll like this one!
The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up– This book is short and sweet and the author is bat -$h7t crazy! I mean who folds socks? Ain’t nobody got time for that. But I did have two take aways: 1. If it doesn’t spark joy throw it out. 2. My basic principle for sorting papers is throw them all away.
