I am so excited for this upcoming school year. One of my favorite things about teaching is classroom set up. I’ve been working on my room since July and it just makes me happy! I like picking out colors and making every inch as organized as I can. Although it doesn’t always stay organized, starting the year that way makes for a smooth start!
I’ll be sharing most of the products by linking them below the picture but if you have any questions please feel free to ask, I love helping out a fellow teacher!
This door is decorated with black & white wrapping paper and letters that I printed out using the MTF font called ‘Jumpin Jack’.
Although my reading corner isn’t completely organized and sorted I wanted to post this picture because, well.. real life. 😳
The ‘Amazing” letters are from A Modern Teacher‘s freebie and I just cut “work” to go with it! Fans are from Target and scrapbook paper is from Hobby Lobby. White book shelves are (old) from Target and black book bins are from Really Good Stuff.
These drawers (in between each table) will house books and journals that are too heavy for our seat sacks. Labels aren’t on sale but the Tidy Tub labels are from this packet. Bins and tubs are from Wal Mart.
I love how locker name tags turned out, bright but simple. 🙂
I used my silhouette to cut these lunch choice words and I love how it turned out. The magnets are from The Container Store.
On the left book boxes are from Really Good Stuff. On the right Monday-Friday Labels are in this editable packet. Word Wall banner is from Michelle’s free and editable Banner pack.
Book box labels are always my favorite thing to create. I love remaking my kids using Melonheadz. 🙂
Calendar letters are from this product. Calendar numbers, months and color words are from Maria Gavin.
Stick together bulletin is from Michelle Griffo. On the left is our Word Work tower, purchased from Michael’s and labels can be found here. Below the mailbox table is our Math Station tubs. The shelf and tubs are from Ikea, I just wrapped them with a ribbon and hot glued the numbers to the front. On the right I have a rolling drawer for parent helpers to grab something inside if they can help.
Another view from the back part of the classroom.
I just love how my book shelf turned out. I spray painted it using the color ‘Nautical’ and added the vinyl to the bottom. It adds a fun pop of color and it is very useful for our themed books for each month.
This table is where I meet with my students during reading groups and math centers.
I couldn’t post my classroom pictures without sharing my kid’s first day photos!
With all that said, it breaks my heart to see the devastation in Houston and all surrounding areas. Although we’re blessed to have not been hit, I’m currently teaming up with Briana at Sun, Sand & Second Grade to adopt a Houston-area classroom. If you’re able or willing to help please follow the link, they can always use items to restore their classrooms!
