Year in Review 2018 January 2, 2019 This year has probably been the hardest year of my entire life. But through it all God has continued to show us his faithfulness each and every day, through family, friendships and in the eyes of our two crazy kiddos. Here’s to many blessings in 2019! As I reflect on this year, my prayer is this…Heavenly Father,We thank you for the year that has passed and the blessings you have showered upon us. We beg your forgiveness in our many failings. Make this year a blessed and fruitful one.We also thank You for every test of time that has brought us stronger in faith and trust in You. Bestow upon us the gift of the Holy Spirit. We call upon our Lord Jesus Christ for His intercessions, His guidance and His light to shine our path.Amen.Isaiah 40:31 But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Although January started out with a fun night with friends, ringing in the new year it turned out to be pretty rough month. I was about about 6 months pregnant and was put on bed rest early in the month. We spent a lot of time at home in jammies and not much else. February was the birth or our sweet angel baby. We lost his heartbeat at 31 weeks along and delivered him on February 14. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Thankful for my husband who was my rock through it all. March was very joyous, celebrating Maddox turning 5. We had our traditional family dinner and he had a fun party at the trampoline park. In April we decided to take a trip in honor of our angel baby. It was a magical time with just us 4. We also got to enjoy watching Maddox play t-ball in his 3rd season! In May we got to enjoy a fun trip to the Moore Family reunion with all of our cousins and family. Zach and the kids gifted me with a sweet basket of my favorite things for Mother’s Day and he took me to the Justin Timberlake concert for my birthday! Mia got on the jumbotron at a baseball game to wrap up an awesome month! Mia had her very first dance recital and we loved watching her get dolled up and put on her dress and ballet shoes! We went to watch The Incredibles 2 and spent some fun times with our friends. We also got to learn more about our BIG God in VBS at our church. We had a super fun month of traveling and spending time with family and friends. We took a trip to Hyatt Hill Country with our friends and had a blast swimming and hanging out. Maddox and Mia’s swim lessons were really starting to pay off, it made the summer super fun-filled! And finally Zach and I took the most AMAZING trip to the Bahamas for our anniversary. August was another month full of adventure. We closed on our new house, Maddox and Mia started at school with me and Maddox had the most fun reveal to find out who is Kinder teacher would be! Zach took an amazing guys trip to ICELAND! September was the month of Daddy’s business. He and Maddox were in the local parade, our school had a huge scavenger hunt (which included Zach’s business) and he showed up at our school Career Day! Maddox even said he wanted to be a “Realtor” when he grew up and proceeded to dress like his dad for Career Day. We got settled into our new house and spent lots of weekends at the football fields watching Maddox in his first season of flag football! October had beautiful weather so we spent LOTS of time outside playing in our new yard. We also got to watch Mia in her very first cheer show off!! The kids dressed up in their favorite costumes for school and trick or treating in our new neighborhood. It was a memorable month for sure! November was a fun time with family. We went to our first concert as a family, Disney Junior Dance Party! We welcomed our new baby cousin, Carter and showered Sissy with love and gifts for her baby girl. Maddox had his first school feast and we went to our favorite High School Football game! Daddy carved the turkey for our family dinner and we gifted daddy his very own media room for his birthday! We wrapped up the year by welcoming our second baby girl cousin, Mavery Elle! Spent lots of time with family and celebrated Mia turning F O U R! Zach’s business party was a complete success with the biggest turnout ever! We are so proud of him! This year was ALL about our sweet baby Maverick Jack. We are so blessed by his goodness and grace. These kiddos surprise us every day with their loving hearts about their little brother watching over them in heaven. Here’s to 2019! A year full of more goodness, more joy and the hope in the Lord holding our sweet boy! Here are a few goals I’d like to stick to this year! Blessings to you all!
