Sharing a little bit of life lately, family, recipes and a little Rachel Hollis! Linking up with Shay and Sheaffer.
What we’re eating this week– …lots of Instant Pot recipes! I shared a few last week and I can’t wait to add more. Check out this post for some ideas! This week we tried this Taco Soup by Simply Happy Foodie and it was delicious!
What I’m reminiscing about– Our one year anniversary is coming up of the loss of sweet baby Maverick Jack. Although it will be super heartbreaking, I can’t wait to share the love to my three favorites on earth Maddox, Mia and Zach by my side.
What I’m loving– This book has been sitting on my nightstand for months, so I finally picked it up and it is so good! It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way It’s a book about dealing with life’s disappointments with the God’s purpose in mind. Terkeurst is an excellent writer that makes you feel like you’re talking to your best friend at bible study.
What we’ve been up to– The Moore’s had a big week planned; family in town, talent show, Mia’s cheer competition… Well some of those things got put on hold when Maddox came down with the flu! We’ve been taking time off and sharing the time with our sweet boy until he is finally feeling better.
What I’m dreading– Really nothing.
What I’m working on– …lots of blog posts means more time creating, writing and publishing. I really enjoy sharing my life with you guys, so I’m working on growing my blog so I can continue.
What I’m excited about– My girlfriends and I are attending Rise Weekend with Rachel Hollis in Dallas in July! I am so excited I can’t stand it.
What I’m watching/reading– Like I said before I’m definitely digging into this Terkeurst book, for my own mental health. I’m also listening to an audiobook for fun called The Kiss Quotient.
What I’m listening to– I’ve been listening to the playlist on Spotify.
What I’m wearing– Matching with my bestie is always on the agenda. These dresses are from Old Navy.
I’ve been in comfy cozy sweaters and jeans for work. This one from Flaunt Boutique is a favorite!
What I’m doing this weekend– Mia and Zach are off to their first Daddy/Daughter Dance so I can’t wait to document that. Hopefully Maddox will be back to 100% so we can have a little mommy/son date night as well. 🙂
What I’m looking forward to next month– March is always a good month. It starts with Maddox’s birthday and then we have spring break! Maddox will be turning 6 in only a few short weeks and I’m super excited for him to have a fun time with his class at his American Ninja Warrior Party!
What else is new– I’m also looking forward to Valentine’s Day. Not just to celebrate my angel baby but to celebrate the two angels I have here on earth and the boat-loads of love they bring to us.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE FAMILY VALENTINE’S DAY TRADITION- Our family has never really had a tradition, but this is the day that we delivered our sweet baby boy last year. So our new tradition will forever be remembering him and all the love he brought to our lives. We will continue the tradition of releasing white balloons on this day in honor of Maverick Jack.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
