Golden Girl is a beach book unlike any other. Elin has this tradition of sharing the prettiest beach scenes, delectable meals and picture-perfect scenery on Nantucket. This is a lovely story (although about grief) there is so much passion and love interwoven that reminds us we never really lose the person that isn’t on earth with us any longer.

A refreshingly genuine story about marriage, and lessons learned from being away from the one you love. The plot is based around a young, married couple at a crossroads and decide to take time apart to decide if their marriage can be made whole again. Although it seems like a heavy topic, TJR still manages to keep it light-hearted, funny and happy!

I loved the story of the Riva siblings, beginning with June & Mick’s love story. 🤍 If you love character-driven novels, filled with complicated relationships and the love of a family then this one is for you. The Newcomer by Mary Kay Andrews
The Newcomer was a cute storyline, mixed with love, mystery, vacation and a sprinkle of humor. Although this one was a bit long for my taste, nonetheless it was a good beach read. And even though it was murder mystery it had enough of everything else to keep it a good vacation read. The cast of characters were sweet and endearing. I felt the storyline was a bit far-fetched and fairly predictable but I still enjoyed it. If you need to switch up from some heavier books, this one is a good one to try.

It was the perfect fast-paced thriller that kept me biting my nails the entire time! 5 STARS
