Ending the year with fantastic reads!! I never realized how much of a “mood reader” I am, especially during the holidays.
Check these out or put on your list for next year.

This might be my favorite book of 2024.
I know, big words… but y’all this book was incredible!! I loved it so much, with a mix of mystery, historical fiction and memoir, it had all the qualities of a 5 star read.
This follows Martha Ballard, a real-life 18th-century midwife in Maine, who investigates a murder when a dead man is found frozen in the Kennebec River, using her unique position to uncover secrets and fight for justice within her close-knit community. This story is largely based on Martha Ballard’s detailed diary entries about the events in her town.
Another mystery, another 5 stars! This one wasn’t as deep as The Frozen River because it. had a light-hearted rom-com aspect but it still had this murder mystery that kept it engaging!
It tells the story of Maggie, a cozy mystery writer, and Ethan, a popular thriller author, who are invited to a Christmas party at the English estate of their idol, the renowned mystery writer Eleanor Ashley, only to find her missing from a locked room, forcing them to put aside their rivalry and work together to solve the mystery, leading to a surprising romantic connection amidst the snowbound mansion.
I thought for sure it would be a five star read, it had grumpy meets sunshine, small town vibes, and excellent banter.
Unfortunately, my hopes were a little too high for this one. The plot was pretty cute, small town, enemies to lovers, fake dating and a lot of spice!
With all that said, it was way too long (almost 500 pages) for such a simple storyline. Not my favorite, finished it just to see how it ended.
Is this one of my favorite holiday rom-coms?… Yes!
Y’all, I loved this one so much!! Basically, it’s about Nash who tries to win back his wife after a severe memory loss and doesn’t remember him or their marriage.
This one had all the feels and I was here for it. It had me flipping pages faster and faster to see how this tragic and story would end. Although it was a different ending than your every day romance, I think the author did it beautifully!!
Merry Christmas friends. See you in 2025!
