This time of year, I start gathering small trinkets and fun items for the kid’s baskets. My love language is gift-giving, it truly brings me joy. I like filling those easter baskets with goodies and seeing the kids play with fun toys!
I’m sharing a few things I have gotten my kids for this year and some of our favorites that we love and would be great to give as gifts to your kiddos. The ages are mainly a guideline, each child is totally different and enjoys different things, but these are where my brain landed with age range.
I’ve titled this list for boys ages 8-11 but obviously that can vary based on your child’s interest. My boy has been interesting in these items for a while, but he just turned 11 so it can depend on your interest and buying level.
- Shooting Game with Target – Do you have some boys that need to constantly find targets to shoot at? This is an easy-to-set-up target activity with two puffball guns included. It should keep the boys from shooting their sister in the face… or worse yet, the dog.
- Easter- Themed Lego Set – There is a CHICK, a SHEEP & BUNNY that are great for those lego fans. It’s a great activity to keep those boys busy and save those cute little trinkets to display every year with your Easter Decor.
- Bean Boozled – It’s always something gross that makes your boy do a belly laugh right? This is a fun game to keep everyone entertained!
- Guess in 10 – We actually got this fun game for car rides. It puts a fun spin on 20 questions. There are many varieties to this game; including states of America, World of Sports, inspiring professions, and more!
- Dude Perfect Frisbee – This is a great option for kids that haven’t mastered catching a frisbee, it’s flexible so it doesn’t hurt. It’s also great to play with dogs!
- Magna Tiles – These are worth their weight in gold. I have used these in my classroom and in our playroom and let me tell you, our kids LOVE to play with these. This is the best brand, they last forever and are very durable. And if you need some fun ideas. check out my Pinterest board all about Magna Fun HERE!
- Kids Against Maturity – Now let’s be honest- sometimes it’s hard for adults to get “down to the maturity level” of our kiddos… right? Just me? Well, this is the perfect family game that will make you forget all those manners and inhibitions and just have fun! Filled with toilet humor and funny adult innuendos. PLEASE BE ADVISED- there are many cards in the deck that I took out immediately, that I thought were either over their heads or far too inappropriate. So use at your own discretion.
- TENZI – We love playing TENZI when we’re at home with family or on a vacation. There are so many different games you can play and it’s great for all ages.
- Boys Sunglasses – These are great quality for your active boys. I love that they are polarized AND come with the rope. That way if they’re playing baseball or on the boat, they will always be able to protect their eyes because their glasses are right on their neck.
- Funko Pop – This is an awesome & fun collection for your boys. They are these cool-looking figurines that look great displayed on a shelf. Funko Pop has hundreds of different figures so just find your boy’s favorite character and start there!
- LEGO Gadgets & Chain Reactions – These are great gifts (for any occasion). All they need is this kit and a handful of ordinary legos to build 10 of the chain reactions. Maddox really loves the Gadgets book because he can build and create different machines and he LOVES to find new ways to create with legos.
- UA Sweat Bands – Every boy needs this when they’re playing and need to wipe the sweat from their brow.
- UA Socks – It seems like every two weeks I’m throwing away holy socks! So these are great for a little update to the boy’s sock drawers.
- Fidget Retro – Remember how addicting “fidget spinners” were? Well, these little babies are just as addicting. If you have anxious kiddo or just a kid that always needs to be doing something- this is a great little device to keep in the car or can easily fit in their pocket.
- Garmin Vivo Fit Jr. – We love this Fitbit for many reasons. You sync the watch with your phone app and see their activity and daily timers. This is a great watch for kids to keep track of their steps and movement. You can assign chores and tasks and set reminders. Highly recommend.
- Nike Slides-These sandals are used on a daily basis. Whether to check the mail or just walking around the house my boy loves this super comfortable shoe for many reasons!
- Kid’s Digital Camera – What boy doesn’t love watching a good skateboard wipe-out video or bike race? This little camera can record and take videos, it’s water waterproof and very simple to use.
