Easter is such a special season in our house, we love celebrating Jesus’ resurrection. Our church provides these sweet storybooks and Easter bags for each family and I love giving our kids something tangible to relate to the story of Easter. I’ve attached a photo of the items so you can recreate it if you’d like.
Along with the resurrection we still take part in traditional Easter activities including baskets! If you’d like to see last year’s post, click here to see 2016 click here. Below are the baskets we’ve used for the past three years and I love them! I’ve linked the liners below.
I usually stuff the baskets with non candy treats, and more practical toys that can be used and not just thrown in the junk drawer. But that’s really hard to do. Adding a clothing item is a must (last year was pj’s) and some items that I know my kids will enjoy. My kids are 3 and (almost) 5, for reference.
Most of these are new items to the kids, but the few things they already own I added to this list because they are cherished! Sharting with the Ok to Wake Alarm Clock. I get asked all the time how to to keep your kids in bed (or in their room) until a decent hour and THIS is your answer. You set the alarm to light up at a certain time and that means they can get out of bed. If Maddox wakes up before it turns green, he knows he can read a book or play quietly in his room until he sees it light up. Another item is the Little Cosmetics Pretend Make Up. Mia got this as a gift at a birthday and she LOVED it! I even keep a few items in my makeup drawer so when she sees me getting ready I give it to her so she can get ready with me.
