Now that Maddox is wrapping up Pre K I wanted to start this fun tradition to give to him when he graduates from high school. The general idea is choose a book for your child (or different books per child). At the end of each school year ask your child’s teacher to sign it. And finally present the book to your child at high school graduation.
My plan is to keep the books in a sealed envelope until the end of each school year. Then pass them to their teachers (discreetly) so the teacher can choose any page to write a note to your child. I’d like to have them write the year on it (or I will add it) along with their message. I found an instructional poem on Pinterest that I retyped and added to the front cover in a clear sheet protector. You can download mine here. I’m also going to keep a sticky note on the front cover that says, “Reserved for Mom and Dad” so we can write our own special note at the end of their school years. 😭
I found a few bible verses that I tucked into some of the pages that I thought would be an inspiring touch.
There are many books out there that have the same general idea so here are a few other titles you may want to look into if you choose.
