There’s not much I love more than sharing what I’m reading with you guys. This past month or two has thrown me for a loop, with starting a new position as a Special Education teacher so I’m a little late on my monthly reviews. But better late than never right?!
I have a mix of thrillers, young adult, and contemporary romance. So hopefully, something for everybody!
This one was definitely unputable. I chose this on Kindle Unlimited because it was recommended because I’ve read a bunch of Frieda McFadden, so I knew I was getting a popcorn thriller. It started off strong with a sweet couple, newly married, and their beautiful 4-month-old daughter. Until Richard’s 21-year-old daughter, Chloe turns up after years of not speaking with him because he married Joanne. Even though Chloe comes off as the perfect daughter, Joanne starts noticing how she acts totally differently when Richard is around. This book got a little annoying in the middle because I was starting to hate the main character, but the twist at the end helped me give it an extra star!

I recommend if you’re looking for a fast-paced, popcorn thriller and the character building won’t annoy you too much.
This contemporary ya, broke my heart in every way possible.
I love books that start with the end and work their way back. I thought it would prepare me for what’s to come but, spoiler alert… it didn’t. I still found myself ugly crying about the last chapter.
Although this feels like a romance, it is truly a coming-of-age-story about friendship, first loves, and family dynamics. Autumn and Finn’s relationship is one for the books.

I recommend if you’re looking for a weekend read, under a cozy blanket a box of tissues and your favorite candle burning.
Another young adult fiction was in the cards for me and this one was a sweet fresh of breath air.
‘i could wake up on the same day a thousand times, and every single one would be different because of you. every single one would be life-changing. because of you.’
This quote explains this story so perfectly. Don’t get me wrong, a ‘groundhog’s day” plot can feel redundant, but this one managed to keep it interesting for the majority of the time. Soloman has a talent for exceptional banter, and I truly loved both characters and every one of their flaws. I wish it was a few pages shorter, 400 pages is a little much… but the book was definitely one I’d recommend.

I recommend if you want a cutesy romance, but not cheesy.
This begins as one of the most terrifying things that I could imagine ..a home invasion…
Jade and her two young children are living this nightmare…and quite frankly I was too! It was atmospheric, tense, and terrifying. They are held at ransom until the husband, Cam can come home with over $700,000 to save his family. Thankfully, Jade’s oldest, Beatrix has a clever mind but will she put them in even more danger?
I am not kidding when I say I was on the edge of my seat until the end.

Oh emmm geeee!
I just want to start out by saying Magnolia and BJ are the most toxic, yet passionate couple I’ve ever read about.
BJ and Magnolia have known each other since they were younger and believe they are the loves of each other’s lives. That is until BJ betrays Magnolia in the worst possible way.
If you love a good character-driven romance, with a lot of ANGST then I highly recommend this one. Search up trigger warnings.
