I am in tears as I write this. My boy is getting so big! Where has the time gone?! I just love this age, he is so fun; loving, talkative and becoming soooo independent! I just want to freeze time, anyone know how to do that yet?
I love this little face so much!
This big boy got this cool chair for Christmas with a baseball ottoman (not shown) and he just loooves sitting and reading about 30 books before bedtime. I can’t wait to share photos of his new big boy room! Blog post to come, stay tuned!
Maddox has finally learned to say “cheese” and I just love capturing all his other little faces.
See what I mean about freezing time?
Don’t get me wrong it’s not always smiles and sunshine, Maddox has started showing spurts of the terrible twos! Seriously, people are not kidding about this phase. His independence or need for independence turns him into another child. He MUST do what he wants WHEN he wants or it’s screamin’ and cryin’ and we are still trying to get a grip on how to handle it. So wish us luck and say a little prayer for our sanity.
Here he is during one of those moments. Running around screaming and playing in a crowded restaurant while we were eating attempting to eat dinner.
#parentfail
But he sure did love seeing his cousins!
Here’s what I’m talking about…
#terribletwos
No children were hurt in the making of this photo, he’s literally crying for no reason. We just had to laugh.
Ummmm why can’t my child love a different instrument?
Thanks Paw Paw
Drumming. All day, everyday.
M has become a little bit of a picky eater lately, not sure why, he’s always had a great appetite and hasn’t given us any problems. But lately I’ve had to put everything on a “stick” in order for him to eat it! Even though you can barely tell his little mac n cheese wheels are on a pretzel.
I just love one on one time with this little guy!
The slide is definitely a favorite, he loves counting can you tell he’s on 2 when I snapped this?
How can you not love this adorable little face?!!
Maddox loves, is obsessed with reading books. This moment here is what makes being a mommy so wonderful. He kept putting his little feet between my legs and it was the most precious thing ever.
Then Daddy joined us!
Crazy boy climbing on everything!
I think he’s ready to start helping Daddy with the lawn!
Maddox is always dancing when Zach picks him up from school. On this day he was jamming with some maracas.
Hugging his elephant. Melt my heart.
Maddox and Mommy matching slippers. I can’t wait until Mia’s little feet are right there with us!
Ok, you guys we have another new OBSESSION, Bruno Mars.
Maddox MUST watch “doo doo” (Uptown Funk) and “oo, oo, aa, aa” (Lazy Song) at least 5 times a day. Seriously, I’m not joking. He knows to bring us the Apple tv remote to turn it onto YouTube or Vevo to watch these two videos. This is him during snack one day… literally screamed until I pulled it up. Cracks me up… but hey, at least it’s a break from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
I mean he literally has memorized some of the choreography. This video has made it’s rounds but it’s definitely a must see if you haven’t already.
Here’s a new one that Uncle Vinny took at our Cowboys party. So cute!
He also loves The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars, this is what he does every time it comes on.
Notice how he smiles when the video starts…
He recognizes a lot of his letters and loves reading abc books with daddy.
Attempting to sing his ABC’s with mommy…
Who doesn’t love a little Frozen with a drum?
I love his hand motions to Jesus Loves Me
Maddox now calls Daddy his best friend, and I just love seeing their relationship grow. They are definitely two peas in a pod.
Thank you big boy for blessing our lives so much. We love you to the moon and back!
