Y’all!!! This has easily turned into my #2 favorite book of all time! (It Ends With Us is #1- you can read about it here). Stop what you’re doing and borrow, download or buy this book! Hoover kept me captivated and entertained the entire way through. It was suspenseful, heart breaking and delightful all at the same time. Do yourself a favor and get your hands on a copy of this book, you won’t be disappointed.
So after all that excitement of Hopeless I started this because I felt like I was too obsessed with Hoover and I should try something else. And this one fell a little flat. Although it was a mystery, I couldn’t really stay connected with all the characters. It was reeeeally slow in the beginning. It wasn’t until halfway through that I got sucked in. It’s like a “murder mystery” with all these different characters that you begin to make predictions about… and blah blah blah it was slow-paced and kinda predictable.
Without giving too much away this one is a sequel to Losing Hope… well kinda it’s from a different perspective. It makes me love Hopeless even more seeing Holder’s point of view and understanding why some things turned out the way they did. It was a little repetitive because they were going through the same occurrences but the twist of seeing it through his eyes made it interesting.
