Maybe You Should Talk To Someone – This one an interesting read, it’s told through the eyes of a therapist and she alternates between her own experience in therapy and the stories of four of her clients. The topics are pretty heavy and I would err on the side of caution if you have any open wounds about death, cancer, isolation, freedom and meaninglessness. Overall it was very insightful and a satisfying read for me.
The Other Mrs. – I love a good psychological thriller! This one is about a husband, wife, the other woman and murder in a small town. Sadie and Will just moved from Chicago to a small town in Maine hoping for a fresh start. Then one of the neighbors is murdered. It causes Sadie to rethink everything, causing Sadie to lose herself in the murder and investigation.
I can’t say too much more without giving the plot away. It’s told in multiple POV’s and it keeps you confused until BOOM… you still don’t know what’s going on. If you love a good twisty turning rollercoaster right, this one is it!
Where the Forest Meets the Stars – This one was an incredibly touching and tender story. It captivated me from the first page and held on to my heart until the very end. It’s about 3 broken people brought together by fate in the most perfect timing. Ursa, Jo and Gabe have each had their share of trauma throughout their lives. Ursa insists she’s an alien from another planet, Jo is dealing with the near tragedy of losing her mother and overcoming cancer and Gabe suffers from debilitating anxiety and depression. Together they find a support system, love and a friendship that just might stand the test of time. There’s love, mystery, a little suspense and lots of beauty. Read this one. You’ll be happy you did.

Get Out of Your Own Way – Let’s Gooooo! Dave Hollis hits a home run with this one! He and his awesome wife Rachel have a true talent at lighting fires in people’s hearts. He is so relatable in this book as he explains the lies he believed about himself and his life. He encourages the reader to flip the camera and take a peek at what’s making them feel inadequate; but he does it in such a loving way. You will definitely want to pick this one up if you’re in a fixed mindset.
