Hey there little leprechauns! I’m so happy you’re stopping by for some fun ideas to keep your wee little ones happy and busy during this whimsical holiday. St. Paddy’s day is a great conclusion to our spring break week so we’ll be injecting most of these activities during our down time. So get your Lucky Charms and crafts ready and here we go!
I’ve been searching high and low through the blogoshpere to bring you some of my favorites crafts and snacks to do with your little ones. Of course, there are a million other ideas you can search for but I thought these were good for my kiddos and any kids closer to preschool age.
Rainbow Paper Crafts This is a great activity to do with very minimal prep. Who doesn’t love a good cut and paste activity? I love the fact that you can teach the order of the rainbow as well. And you end up with a sweet little rainbow picture to hang on your masterpiece wall.
Sensory Bottles I wish I did more sensory bottles with my kids. I ALWAYS did these with my preschool and kindergarteners. Your kids will love making this with your help and it’s good for practicing fine motor skills.
Rainbow Twirlers Okay, if you’re not afraid of a little paint THIS ONE’S for you! And it’s a beautiful display to hang and enjoy your hard work!
Leprechaun Paper Plate Mask This one is a cute one to make and allow your kiddos to act out or pretend play and act out as little leprechauns.
Crayon Resist Shamrock Crayon resist are always a favorite for my students, so I know my kids will love seeing the magic as well! Any chance Mia gets to paint she is over the moon about it. And we absolutely love the finished product
Rainbow Binoculars These look so fun to create and all you need are a few rolls of toilet paper, construction paper and tape, that’s it!
And if you’re REALLY feeling festive and want to make some yummy snacks check out these ideas!
Rainbow Pretzel Wands These look like a fun and yummy sweet treat and you can use any color sprinkles for any occasion!
Lucky Charm Treats Who doesn’t love a good rice crispy treat? And this knock off looks delicious and fun!
Leprechaun Hat Cups Obviously this one isn’t edible but how fun having a yummy popcorn snack inside this hat cup looks fun!
Graham Cracker Rainbow Snack These are soooo pretty! It only takes a few ingredients and I’m sure your kids will love making these.
